Eshet Eilon has upgraded a mango line for its customer

Eshet Eilon has upgraded a mango line for its customer in Moshav Yonatan. Additional technologies were added to the line, including automatic feeding and disposal of empty / packaged boxes.

The mango, which is now a large part of the fruit market in Israel, was first brought to Israel about a century ago, and has since flourished in this area due to the favorable climate. According to local data, mango has become one of the main fruits that are exported from Israel, after avocado and dates. Up to one third of mango produced in Israel is exported, mostly to European countries.

Mango harvesting has become more elaborate in Israel over the years. This has led to production rates of up to 55 thousand tons in 2020, a growth of 46% over the past 8 years.
